About the artist:

Tywree Bailey is a self-taught painter whose work has been exhibited across the United States, including at the Rosa Parks Museum and the Detroit Historical Museum. A native of Michigan, Tywree's acrylic paintings predominantly feature Black women and their families, reflecting her deep connection to her community. As a wife and mother of three, she uses her art to inspire and uplift others, celebrating the beauty and strength of Black life. "I want my paintings to remind people that they are beautiful and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to," Tywree says.
